Senior Marketing Coordinator, Corporate Marketing
Tell us about your job. What do you do?
I support the planning, design and production of a variety
of communications and public relations materials, presentations and projects,
including: print, website, sales collateral, magazine advertising, direct
mail pieces and case studies. I am also responsible for performing research,
planning, data collection and reporting on a variety of marketing projects
and studies while ensuring quality and consistency with company objectives.
I provide support for tradeshow and event planning, which includes reviewing
exhibitor guidelines, assisting with booth selection, ordering goods and
services to meet logistical needs and coordinating lodging for exhibit
staff.
How did you begin your career at West? How did you advance through
the company? What’s made you successful?
I began my career at West in October 2005, after graduating
college from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
What do you love about your job?
I love that everyday brings a new, unique challenge,
allowing me to not only gain more knowledge about the company, but I’m
also continually learning the most up-to-date marketing techniques and
trends. In addition, I love working with everyone in the Sales & Marketing
department. Each person brings a different personality and a unique set
of talents to share.
What’s the best thing about working here? What makes you proud
to work for West?
I enjoy working for West because it has allowed me to take all
of the knowledge I learned in college, and truly apply it in the real world.
I’m proud of working for West because I can say I’m part of a company that
has not only been nationally recognized as a leader in their industry,
but has also played a key role in helping many of our clients receive awards
of customer service excellence.
What would you tell someone who was thinking of beginning a career

My job is challenging, exciting, and fast-paced. West

How has West’s management team shaped your experience? What kind
of support have they provided you? What has been most valuable about your
interaction with the management team(s)?
The West management team has always provided me with
ongoing guidance and support, helping me develop my skills as a professional.
If I ever have any questions about a certain project, or even just the
company as a whole, I know that my supervisor is always just a few steps
down the hall if I need him. He’s always open to new ideas and is constantly
encouraging me to excel in my position.
